Mouse Stops Working Then Num Lock Lets It Work Again
For me, after a time, the keyboard and mouse start working. It's actually very abrasive; as a consequence, I never close off my Win10 PC; but I don't upgrade my other PCs.

That's completely useless: all of that requires that the keyboard and mouse are working which is the whole problem!

I'm with y'all Sean all completely useless, I accept tried the aforementioned as you.
I tin can run across shared files on the calculator across the network, I have even tried to RDP, just that as I don't have that enabled on the Windows 10 destination machine I am a trivial scuppered there too.

Exactly. However, I have institute a solution!
I re-installed Windows 7 Dwelling house Edition (pre sp1), Did all 200+ updates. Re-installed all software every bit needed.
Now before I update, I look until Windows ten gets fixed.
Sheesh.

And then after a bunch of dead ends I finally did a clean wipe and reinstalled Windows seven.
Then I reinstalled all of the updates (took two days).
Then I installed windows x once I got enough updates that the option came back.
At present it works fine.
But I'm going to send MS a bill for $3,000 in wages since I'one thousand apparently doing their work for them.
The only thing dissimilar that I can tell that I did the second time around was that the first time I did the install I was using an SSD cache, and the second fourth dimension I didn't. Who knows why that would matter.

Having the same problem, although with the SurfaceBook. All troubleshooting and diagnostic tests accept proved useless. Demand to find an alternative asap

Cheers for your response merely do I need to indicate out the obvious to you lot and every other tech person? The original poster said his mouse and keyboard weren't working at the lock screen. Since they are working how are they supposed to press keys? Your solution won't piece of work.
